camd3 -> newcs on dm7020

Hi

Before I buy an 910, I wanted to test camd3 - I normally use evocamd or mgcamd with newcs.

I have a DM7020 with 2 original subscription cards (conax and nds), it is running newcs and evocamd and works fine.

I also have a DM500 with camd3, and I get a connection to my newcs server and the 2 cards - 0b00 and 09f0.

When I change channels, I get output in the console, but picture, it is quite strange.

Here is my camd3 config:

(DM7020 = 192.168.1.10)

Any feedback would e appreciated.

Yes I know, but this is "basic" camd3 related, and I would think that I would have the same isse from a 910 to my 7020 newcs.

I would like to know if there is an issue with my config before I buy a 910 that's all.

Dont buy kathrein if you want it to connect to newcs as a client.
It simply dont work

Does it only work with radegast or what is the problem?

It decodes only channels by use of radegast, and only channels which are hacked.
When eg. Premiere closes for pirate TV, I bet this kathrein will be sold for 10 % of it's price.

Ok so even if I connect to my newcs and using the radegast protocol, it will not work with my original cards?

- so we have to wait until evocamd or similar is compiled to the 910?

If you can make radegast connect to newcs, you will just end up with lots of socket hung up's and no picture.
Dont expect evocamd nor mgcamd for this box.
Romours says that it wont be made.
Even newcs wont support radegast protocol in newer versions, afaik.

Crusader, could you or anyone else post your working radegast.cfg in here, please?
This would help a lot us who are fighting to get things running with 910.

You can remove your IP/server detals with xxx

Above should work if you add a user with these info into newcs.xml :

<user>user1</user>
<password>Pass2</password>

But as you also have seen, it simply dont work.
Unless radegast.cfg includes more settings that we havent set correctly.
