Hello,

I have a BIG problem. My remote control for Kathrein stops to work after 5 minutes. If I restart the box with the switch on the back of the box the remote still don't work. The only thing that makes the remote to operate again is to do a flash earase and flash the box again with SF 1.03. New batterys does'nt help

Please help... any suggestions?

Remote control no longer responding. Receiver or remote control command set may have been unintentionally changed Set infrared code 1, as described in operating manual under
“Remote Control RC 660”; check batteries.

Remote control RC 660
The RC 660 remote control supports up to four devices (supplied as
standard with the RC 660) as well as the receivers of the UFD 5xx
(not UFD 552, 554, 558) and UFD 4xx families.
First switch all receivers off at the power switch.
To configure a receiver to an infrared code:
Switch on the relevant receiver.
On the remote control simultaneously press
Address 1 = exit + 9 + 1
Then switch the receiver off again at the power switch and do the same
for the other units (exit + 9 + 2 for second receiver; exit + 9 + 3
for third receiver and exit + 9 + 4 for fourth receiver).
Make sure only one receiver is on at a time!
To switch the remote control to an infrared code:
When you have configured all receivers to their infrared code, to switch
between units on the remote control do the following:
For the first receiver’s remote (address 1) press exit + 1; for the
second receiver exit + 2; for the third receiver exit + 3; and for the
fourth receiver exit + 4.

Hi, I had the same problem,you must reflash your box,,and then you will have the firmware of 1,03.
Then start software upgrade by satellite but not for the channels. and i hope it shoul work for you also.

I also get the same problem. I reflash but this is no solution to reflash every 5 minutes. There must be something wrong. Can any soul tell us what to do. The message pbl is not very clear to me.

Afzal, bpl wrote the codes to connect the multiple recievers with one remote,but this is not the case.
After reflashing just do the satellite upgrde and that is it,,,,up up

I have reflashed many times to get rid of the problem, but the it returns when you zap around a little , and specially fast.

Did your box started behaving properly for all time after reflashing?

Hi afzal,
Yes no problem after reflashing.Here are some steps to follow;
1.after reflashig try to move cursor of remote slowly to complet the First Installation steps
2.Then see if the channels are coming otherwise go to channel search for only Astra 1
3.go to satellite Software Upgrade , it will take nearly 20 minutes , after rebooting there will be no problem and believe me that works for me.

I could not make it work so I cahnged my box, and now everything is perfect. So that would mean that some boxes have problems in the hardware.

I have had this problem too, it seems that it could be releated to several things, mgcamd seems to make it worse, as do some channel lists.

It works fine if I dont use mgcamd and stay on FTA channels that I have scanned in, not uploaded.

Zkus AAF 2,0b třeba z této stránky. Jsou tam i další potřebné věci, jako setting editor a pod.

Jestli začínáš a nemáš potřebné znalosti, budeš to mít těžké.
Přečti si toto fórum, sekci Kathrein od začátku, tam máš postupy jak flashovat,
jak na setting, projdi i další fóra.

Jinak bych Ti doporučil nechat si udělat první instalaci odborníkem...
