Kathrein vs Dm500s
Hello I am just woundering if Kathrein UFS910 is about like a Dreambox 500S which I have had for over a year. Will Kathrein run the same Emu's and is it as easy as the dm500 to use? I saw where it was tested on Dish Network HD and will be interested in this unit if it really does this. Thanks, Please respond.

First read posts, then give questions. DM500 is only SD box, kathrein is HD box , both have Linux OS but there are diferent boxes. Read technical specification then you will see. Cheers

Sorry, I know that the 500 is SD and Kathrein is HD. Thanks, I am wanting to buy a HD box and if Kathrein will do what I think it will I will get 1. I just want to know from someone who has 1 if it will run the same Emu's like Opencam 126? Also is there a program like DCC that the dreambox uses to ftp things into Kathrein? Thanks 1 more question can Kathrein be set to disque 1.1 setting

On DN? Well, dunno. I think nobody tested it on other side of Earth until now.
You can be first :)
But you should check if KTH supports your dish settings, especially LNB type.
Dunno. My guess is that KTH is designed for very thin sort of customers = German mostly
(crazy default setting with already set channels, diseqc 1.0, etc etc)
Be carefully before you really buy it!

Oh, forgot - no, you can not use there any known emu in its
original manner. At least yet. The only emu which
can works locally is radegast and camd3. But I think it is only
matter of time until others come ;)
