scam,evocam,newcamd-please help me

I want to install scam and newcamd14 to Sf 106 image for DB5620.Can you help me do this?

I've got it,but I need scam.also I want to learn how to do this myself.

but only for RU. You must copy panual to db.

ok good start.downloaded the file and read the TXT it goes:

step one:
1- ftp the box
2- ftp file scam to = var/bin
3- telnet the box
4- cd /var/bin
5- chmod 777 scam
6- exit
7- reboot dreambox

step two:

1- ftp the box
2- ftp file cw_servers to = var/scam ( if no scam create the folder)

I did it all,but instead of chmod 777 I typed chmod 755.
anyway,nothing happened.at the softcams menu it doesn't appear,so I can't use it.

How to do this manually?

downloaded also scam0815_0507[1].tar.gz and did the following:

as it is I put it in the tmp folder of th DB and then from the DB menu chose install manually:it failed.

then I decompressed the file and saw the following in content:

AutoRoll.Key
Autoupdate.Key
cw_servers
destination
emulist.xml
install.xml
scam
seca2
SoftCam.Key

where to put each one?

I did as you said, and put things likae this:

/var/tuxbox/config/emulist.xml

/var/scam/cw_servers

/var/uninstall/emu_scam.xml

/var/uninstall/emu_scam/emulist.xml

/var/bin/scam

/var/keys/SoftCam.Key

/var/keys/AutoRoll.Key

/var/keys/Autoupdate.Key

/var/keys/seca2

apart from emu_scam.xml because it wasn't in the zip.

then I understood I nedded to edit emulist.xml,which I did and it ended up looking like this:

the esuly is I can see now "scum" in the softcam menu,but when I pick it it does't start working...

What should I do?
Surely I must add some lines somewhere...

Maybe a different approach?-editing the SF image?

downloaded all files i found from this thread...none is working as an addon to put in via the manual addon of the DB.

another try:

I copied the scum into var/bin

then copied the folder scam which includes cw_servres to var

then edited emulist xml in var/tuxbox/config

now I can see the scum in the emus menu but when I choose it it doesn't initiate

What to do?

i been trying this also it doesnt work same problem as u got. im gonna stop using the sf image only cause scam doesnt work

Exactely same problem here. Tried to make it work all night with NO success... There is still big difference between 5620 and 7000 :-(((

Got Scam (or Evocam) for free x and Camd3/NewCamd for sky italy working as follows:
1. Install the SF 0909 image.
2. Install the 04/09 or 31/08 emulators which include Scam.
3. Install keys.
4. Download and unzip the latest emu 12/09
5. Ftp and copy all the var/tuxbox/config files for 12/09 in the 31/08 var/tuxbox/config EXCEPT the emulist.xml.
6. Ftp and copy all the var/bin files for 12/09 in the 31/08 var/bin.

Both SK*y Italy and Free X (and X dream) works for me.
But I would appreciate if any of the SF team could advise which CAMD3 and NewCamd files need updating using this method (If I install an old emu contains Evocam first then upgrad the CAMD3 and Newcamd).

Also, could the SF team please include the Evocam in your latest EMUs list.
